What ages is this for?
Primarily birth to 3 years old because that is when the most language development happens as the brain is developing and maturing; however, if you have an older child that you feel is having difficulty talking this course would be beneficial in you helping your child. This course was designed with the parent in mind that is questioning “is my kid on track?” “Is this normal or should I be concerned?” “My child isn’t talking yet or has minimal words, how can I help them?”. Do I need to download anything specific to access this?
Nope. If you are seeing this you have everything you need to access the course. When you purchase you will be granted immediate access to all modules. You will receive an email with instructions on how and where to log in to start the course.
What is a Speech Language Pathologist?
A speech therapist or a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is someone who specializes in the evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of communication disorders. An SLP is trained to work with with people of all ages, birth through adulthood. An SLP can help your child with speech, language, literacy, voice, social communication, fluency, feeding, swallowing, and more.
How much time do I have to dedicate to this course?
It’s completely self-paced, so you choose the speed that is best for you. The video modules range from 5-25 minutes and are easily accessed for listening while getting ready, cleaning the house, driving, etc.
Will I need to buy specific toys, games, etc?
Absolutely not! You already have everything you need to help your kiddo.
How many words should be child be using?
By the age of 2 your child should have AT LEAST 50 words. Language and speech norms are shared as a resource in this course and they are broken down by the age of the child to better help you understand what your child should be understanding and saying.
